They’re both giants in the entertainment industry and Oprah Winfrey and Paul McCartney will both be recipients of the Kennedy Center Honors.

According to Gossip Cop, the talk show queen and the former Beatle will be honored at the big event this December.

Kennedy Center chairman David M. Rubenstein explained, “For more than 25 years, Oprah Winfrey has established one of the most innovative careers in the entertainment world, with distinctive accomplishments in television and film.”

The awards will be given out at a private ceremony by Secretary of State Hillary Clinton on December 4th, with a gala and performance to follow the next day.
