Pitching in on the effort to help President Barack Obama in his re-election bid, Scarlett Johansson teamed up with Vogue’s Anna Wintour to host the 2012 Runway To Win Launch in New York City on Tuesday night (February 7).

Held at Theory, the “We Bought a Zoo” actress arrived at the fashion-themed fundraiser alongside her advertising executive beau Nate Taylor before taking over the spotlight alongside the catwalk.

With other lovely ladies turning up at the event including Karolina Kurkova, Karlie Kloss, Solange Knowles and Chanel Iman, the night saw a range of designer items sold with proceeds being directed towards Obama’s campaign costs.

Speaking to the audience of the effort, Miss Johansson said, “One of the incredible things about the President’s campaign is that it lets everyone contribute in their own way.”

“That’s the essence of Runway to Win: anyone can use their unique talents and skills to help the President keep our country headed in a positive direction,” the 27-year-old added.

Picking up her precious little one from a day at preschool, Nicole Kidman was spotted with Sunday Rose in Los Angeles, CA on Tuesday (February 7).

The “Moulin Rouge” mama was all smiles as she carried her daughter’s pink backpack out to the car, with the two ladies hopping into their seats and speeding away.

During a recent interview for the Television Association Winter Session, Kidman explained that she prefers to keep her personal life out of the spotlight.

The respectable actress told, “Part of the reason of being an actor is you like playing other people’s lives and exploring all the psychologies in that and the emotions. I think having my life be as private and quiet as possible is a way in which then I can go and play characters. I like the privacy of my life and I protect it quite vigilantly.”

“When I shared a picture of my tattoo on my twitter page and said, “All LOVE is equal,” a lot of people mocked me – they said, “What happened to you? You used to be a Christian girl!” And I said, “Well, if you were a true Christian, you would have your facts straight. Christianity is about love.” The debate resulted in a lot of threats and hate mail to people who agreed and disagreed with me. At one point I had to say, “Dude, everyone lay off.” Can’t people have friendly debates about sensitive topics without it turning into unnecessary threats?”

On her defense of same-sex marriage:
“I believe every American should be allowed the same rights and civil liberties. Without legalized same-sex marriage, most of the time you cannot share the same health benefits, you are not considered next of kin and you are not granted the same securities as a heterosexual couple. How is this different than having someone sit in the back of the bus because of their skin color?”

On her boycott of Urban Outfitters:
“One day I read online about the head of Urban Outfitters donating to a presidential candidate who does not support equality for everyone. I was shocked and disappointed that a company with such diversity would exclude such a large group of people. I can no longer bring myself to shop there.”

On her father, Billy Rae Cyrus’ beliefs:
“We all should be tolerant of one another and embrace our differences. My dad [country singer Billy Rae Cyrus], who is a real man’s man, lives on the farm and is as Southern and straight as they come. He loves my gay friends and even supports same-sex marriage. If my father can do it, anyone can.”

On the rights of Americans:
“This is America, the nation of dreams. We’re so proud of that. And yet certain people are excluded. It’s just not right.”

Spending some quality time with her family, Ashley Tisdale was spotted at a local Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf in Los Angeles, CA on Tuesday (February 7).

Making her way back home to Los Angeles, Khloe Kardashian flew into LAX Airport from Dallas on Monday night (February 6).

The E! reality star made the trip to do a little promotional work ahead of the February 19th season two premiere of her spinoff show “Khloe & Lamar,” which airs at 10PM on E!.

Talking with E! News about the first episode, Khloe revealed that the footage shows her efforts of installing a sex swing atop her and Lamar’s bed due to the fact that he seemed disinterested in the love-making department.

“Having an NBA lockout, I think it really made him depressed,” Kardashian said of the situation. “And that affected us in other areas, which I didn’t realize until later. I was trying to overcompensate, like entertain him more. I was always trying to make him happy. I would think, ‘This would made him happy.’”

Khloe also threw out an interesting statement, possibly hinting at something she already knows, as she told E!, “Dallas might bring me a baby,” while failing to go into further detail.

Starring the voices of Salma Hayek and Jeremy Piven, the colorful offering adorns a clever slogan reading ‘Laugh Your Booty Off’.

The fun-filled family caper is about a “Pirate Captain who sets out on a mission to defeat his rivals, Black Bellamy and Cutlass Liz for the Pirate of the year Award. The quest takes the Captain and his crew from the shores of exotic Blood Island to the foggy streets of Victorian London.”

Directed by Peter Lord and Jeff Newitt, “The Pirates! Band of Misfits” also features Hugh Grant, Martin Freeman and David Tennant while it will be opening in 3D and 2D theaters on April 27th.

Taking to Europe as he continues to promote his latest movie, Daniel Radcliffe grabbed up the spotlight at the Paris premiere of “The Woman In Black” on Tuesday night (February 7).

The 22-year-old looked snazzy in a grey suit with a yellow tie as he boosted interest in the James Watkins directed horror/thriller ahead of its French release date of March 14th.

The appearance comes as Radcliffe recently voiced his disappointment over “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2″ receiving only three technical nominations for the Academy Awards.

Venting over the snub to Radio Times, Daniel said, “I don’t think the Oscars like commercial films, or kids’ films, unless they’re directed by Martin Scorsese. I was watching Hugo the other day and going, ‘Why is this nominated and we’re not?’ I was slightly miffed.”

He added, “There’s a certain amount of snobbery. It’s kind of disheartening. I never thought I’d care. But it would’ve been nice to have some recognition, just for the hours put in.”
