Lady Gaga Rehearses for Sting Anniversary Concert

Gearing up for tomorrow night’s big ado, Lady Gaga made a colorful arrival to the Beacon Theater in New York City on Friday (September 30).

Clad in an all-yellow ensemble, the “Judas” singer was on-hand for rehearsals for Sting’s 25th Anniversary Concert - as the show will benefit the Robin Hood Foundation, which fights poverty in NYC.

Meanwhile, we’re also just days away from the release of Gaga’s collaboration with Cher on “The Greatest Thing”.

Of the much-talked-about track, producer RedOne told MTV, “I think it’s timeless. The beautiful thing about this song is, it’s very uplifting, very uplifting. It’s emotional, but it has dance on it, and it has a dance vibe on it. It’s just a timeless song. You can play it with the guitar, the piano, with whatever instrument you want. You can sing it a cappella, you know what I mean, it’s that kind of song.

“I’m very excited about that song,” RedOne added. “And it’s an event. Cher and Lady Gaga: How big can it get?”

Lauren Conrad’s Halloween Hair Tutorial Shoot

Partaking in a holiday how-to creative effort to close out the week, Lauren Conrad was spotted arriving at a swanky salon in West Hollywood, CA on Friday (September 30).

Wearing a light toned buttondown top with short shorts and high heel sandals, the former “Hills” hottie loaded the parking meter up with coins before sashaying past paparazzi and into the local place of beauty.

As for the week-ending doings, LC tweeted, “At @Kristin_Ess ’s fancy new salon shooting a @TBDofficial tutorial for Halloween hair”

The outing follows quite the previous night, as Miss Conrad was spotted out at The Playhouse in Hollywood - where she exited with rumored new flame Derek Hough.

Of the possible new pairing, an E! source tells that the twosome “have been on a few dates together,” while others claim that it isn’t a serious situation at the current time.

Joseph Gordon Levitt’s “50/50″: In Theaters Now!

It’s one of the most anticipated films of the fall season, and today (September 30) “50/50″ debuted in theaters nationwide.

Adding some serious star power to the Jonathan Levine directed dramedy are Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Anna Kendrick, Bryce Dallas Howard and Seth Rogen.

As for the movie, “50/50” tells the story of a 27-year-old nice guy who has been diagnosed with a rare form of cancer, and is comforted by his best friend, doctor, and a therapist in training.

During a recent interview, Ms. Kendrick discussed her reasons for taking the role of the somewhat-incompetent therapist in the movie.

“I liked how vulnerable Katherine was: how thin her facade of confidence was, her kind of softness and vulnerability just at the edge of this confidence. That was really sweet and really exciting because I had just been promoting “Up In The Air,” where I played a really strong character. It was just exciting to play someone who was a little more lost, who was really sympathetic or empathetic, I suppose, and who just wanted to help people but was going about it in all the wrong ways,” she told press.

The “Run This Town” rapper donned an all-black ensemble as he posed for pictures on the red carpet before heading inside for the festivities.

During the event, Jay-Z opened up about the purpose of his foundation, as he told MTV News, “Just providing opportunity and seeing what people do with that opportunity. If you want to go further and you want to further your education, just giving someone that extra little push [so] that maybe you’ll turn out to be someone special.”

Mentioning his mother, Gloria Carter, who helped start the foundation in 2002, the star singer added, “My mom has been running this for a number of years,” said Jay. “My mom gets on the bus and takes the kids and takes them to their orientations and she’s been riding around the college. It’s a real grassroots thing that she’s been doing on her own, and I’m just really trying to help her expand it so we can help more people. It started out as a Brooklyn thing, and then it started as a New York thing, and now hopefully we can take it to a worldwide thing.”

Joseph Gordon-Levitt Covers BlackBook

With his new movie “50/50″ having just been released, Joseph Gordon-Levitt was selected to cover the new issue of BlackBook magazine.

The 30-year-old actor partook in an eye-catching photo shoot adorning the publication’s pages while also chatting about topics such as life as a Hollywood star and the types of sexiness when it comes to girls.

Highlights from Joseph’s interview are as follows. For more, be sure to visit BlackBook!

On his take on the appeal of different types of women:
“There’s a difference between a girl who’s sexy, like, ‘I’m a slave,’ and an assuredly sexy girl like Beyoncé. But I have to admit, man, I fall for the slave thing, too.”

On life as a Hollywood star:
“When I go to the grocery store, I’ll look at the covers of tabloid magazines - they fascinate me - but I don’t bring that sh– into my house because I think it’s evil and poisonous. It’s easy to dismiss it as harmless entertainment, but I don’t think it is. We’re very influenced by the stories we choose to fill our days with.”

On what it’s like to see himself on the big screen:
“When I was younger, I couldn’t watch anything I was in. Then I started making and editing my own little videos for fun, and that’s when I started watching myself, although seeing myself act in a Hollywood-scale production is different from watching something I shot on my video camera.”
